This beautiful tree is
quite common in Florida. However, most of the older trees produce the more
commonly known yellow, tart varieties. There are now several varieties that
are very sweet when they're ripe, and can be eaten right off the tree! These
trees tend to produce at least two crops per year.

They prefer a spot in
your yard that has some shade, but they can take full sun. They like moist
soil but can be damaged from flooding. The Carambola tree is not salt tolerant,
and they are not very cold hardy when young.
We usually have quite
a few different varieties in stock, but only the sweet varieties like the
Kari and Sri Kembangen. If you have any questions, please call us at 941-475-0557,
